HI TECH FILMs

General Consumer Terms and Conditions

HI-TECH is warranted against manufacturing defects such as crazing, cracking, bubbling, or surface degradation from UV exposure for up to 10 years, as long as the original purchaser owns and operates the vehicle on which the film is installed. In order for the product to remain in excellent condition, regular aftercare procedures must be followed repeatedly during ownership.

General Storage and Handling Recommendations

The film has a recommended shelf life of two years before installation, provided it is stored in the recommended conditions of 72°F (22°C) with an average of 50% humidity. Once opened, the film should be stored either in an upright position or suspended from the core so that no pressure is placed on the substrate. Between uses, the film should be kept wound tightly and taped firmly to avoid tunneling.

Limited Liability Warranty Terms and Conditions

HI-TECH Protection Film receives warranty coverage that addresses discoloration along with fading, cracking, and bubbling. Manufacturers maintain warranty validity when their installation instructions are properly followed, but they decline warranty transferability. Warranty coverage excludes issues with peeling as well as installation bubbles and misalignment. The warranty does not cover damage from incorrect application or accidental misuse or, negligent handling and exposure to corrosive abrasive substances or direct road debris impacts.

HI-TECH Protection Films will only replace defective film under its warranty obligations. The maximum amount of financial responsibility under this warranty equals the price paid for the film. The authorized installer needs to provide proof of purchase for warranty claim verification. To make a warranty claim customers must reach out to the original installation company.

The warranty stands alone as the only guarantee and replaces all other warranties, whether stated explicitly or implied. The warranty includes but is not limited to merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The warranty remains valid only when modifications or additions are documented by written consent from an authorized company officer.

Important notes

After installation, allow the film to cure for a minimum of 45 hours. During this period, moisture may be visible under the film; this is normal and should evaporate completely. Any marks in the adhesive will settle over time. Environmental conditions can affect this process, so please allow for some variation in curing time.

Regular maintenance

The installation process requires a minimum of 45 hours for the adhesive to achieve proper setting. The film period allows moisture trapped beneath it to become visible while it evaporates. All marks or imperfections within the adhesive material will eventually become visible as the material matures. Environmental conditions including temperature and humidity impact this curing process therefore normal variations in curing time occur. A full curing period allows maintenance steps to preserve both film durability and appearance.

Polishes and sealants

A minimum of 45 hours must pass before touching the film to ensure complete adhesion develops. The film will allow natural evaporation of trapped moisture while it cures. The film will eradicate installation marks as it reaches its final position. Temperature and humidity conditions within the environment can affect how the curing process unfolds, resulting in varying drying times. Proper protection of the finished film requires one to use appropriate sealants and polishes after complete curing.

Things to avoid

A minimum of 45 hours is required after installation for the adhesive to bond completely. Any moisture seen under the film will dissipate during this period. Marks or bubbles in the adhesive will settle naturally over time. Environmental conditions can impact the curing process, so some variation in drying time is expected. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive tools on the film before it is fully set to ensure longevity.

Cleaning edges

The film needs at least 45 hours to cure fully after installation. Moisture under the film may be noticeable at first but will gradually evaporate. Any marks in the adhesive should settle and fade over time. Temperature and environmental conditions play a role in this process, so drying times may vary. Once the curing period is complete, carefully cleaning the edges with a soft cloth will help maintain a clean and polished look.

Washing and Drying

For the first 45 hours after installation, avoid washing or drying the vehicle to allow the adhesive to bond fully. Any visible moisture under the film will disappear as it cures. Adhesive marks from the installation process will settle naturally over time. Temperature and humidity may affect the curing duration, causing slight variations in drying time. Once fully cured, use mild soap and a soft cloth for cleaning, and dry with a microfiber towel to maintain the film’s condition.
